How Many Logged Dives Are Required for Diving in Okinawa’s Kerama Islands?

Many people who are planning a trip or vacation to Okinawa and are thinking about diving in the Kerama Islands may wonder how many logged dives are required.

To start with the conclusion, you don’t need to worry too much about your number of dives. Even those who have only recently obtained their diving certification or have very little diving experience are welcome to join our Kerama Islands tours. About Diving in the Kerama Islands

Water Temperature

Spring (April–June): 22–26°C
Summer (July–September): 27–30°C
Autumn (October–November): 24–27°C
Winter (December–March): 19–22°C

Dive Site

Basically, on our tours we choose calm dive sites on the leeward side of islands, where we are protected from the wind. Even on windy days, we dive in sheltered and quiet areas so you can enjoy diving safely and with confidence.

Underwater Visibility

Underwater visibility is generally around 20–30 meters on average. In many cases, you can see the seafloor from the surface right after entering the water. You can enjoy the beautiful “Kerama Blue” without feeling any fear.

Tour Participation Requirements

Our Kerama Islands diving tours are open to anyone who holds a scuba diving certification, regardless of the certification agency. Even beginners are welcome to join, so there is no problem for newly certified divers.
