Easy Access to the Kerama Islands from Naha
One of the great advantages of diving in Okinawa and the Kerama Islands is how easy they are to access from Naha.
The Kerama Islands can be reached by diving boat in approximately 40–50 minutes from Naha, the center of Okinawa’s main island. This makes it very easy for visitors who come to Okinawa for sightseeing and want to enjoy diving in the Kerama Islands.
Our Kerama Islands diving tours depart from Naha by boat almost every day. For more information about our tours, including prices and details, please visit our Tour Details page.

What types of dive sites are there?
The Kerama Islands offer a wide variety of dive sites, including dramatic drop-offs, beautiful coral reefs, underwater caves, and stunning white sandy areas.
The dive sites are selected by the boat captain on the day of the dive, taking into account the wind direction and sea conditions. We usually dive at three different dive sites in one day. When the wind is strong, we may sometimes do two dives at the same site.
For more information about the dive sites, please see the following page.
Is Kerama Diving from Naha Suitable for All Levels?
Yes — many dive sites around the Kerama Islands are suitable for certified divers of different experience levels.
For beginners and recently certified divers, we choose calm, shallow sites with excellent visibility and spacious reef structures. For more experienced divers, deeper reef walls and more varied terrain may be available when conditions allow.
In our tours, underwater groups are kept small to ensure safety and personalized guidance. Dive pace and depth are adjusted carefully so that everyone feels comfortable and confident.
Is it easy to get to Naha?
Yes. After arriving at Okinawa Naha Airport, you can easily get to central Naha by monorail. The city center is only about 10–15 minutes from the airport by monorail.
Enjoy Sightseeing in Naha
Okinawa and Naha attract many visitors from around the world, and staying in Naha City, the center of Okinawa, is very convenient.
Even when you're not diving, there are plenty of things to do, such as enjoying local restaurants and shopping. If you rent a car, you can also explore and travel around the entire main island of Okinawa.
For those who want to enjoy both diving and sightseeing, we recommend staying in Naha City as a convenient base.
